Do I need to be a good dancer?

Not at all.  You just need to come along with an open mind and a sense of humour and you'll be taught all you need to know at a pace that is comfortable for you and the group.

What if I can't do it?

Well that's just not possible!  Every woman has their own way of expressing themselves in a sensual and a teasing way and through years of experience teaching all types of classes to all types of people, this experience is used to encourage you to relax, lose your inhibitions and have fun discovering this side of yourself through the art of Burlesque.

What do I need to wear?

The most important thing is to be comfortable.  Ideally a simple vest top (not sports back) with some gym trousers (3/4 are best, but long or cycling shorts length are also fine) are perfect for masterclasses, parties and the early stages of any courses.

You need to wear heeled shoes, but they don't need to be very high and they are better being heels which are thicker than stilettos as they are easier to balance and dance in. You may also want to bring some comfortable ballet pumps to wear for when heels are not required in class.

As you progress and if you are comfortable doing so you can then add items, some which can be used for costume removal: Corset, Long Satin Gloves, Stockings, Suspender Belt, Frilly Knickers (or shorts), Garter, etc...

What do I need to bring?

Yourself, your sense of humour and fun, any items you have at home which are mentioned above and you might want to try dancing in, plus any props and accessories you might have (feather boa, fascinator, jewellery etc...).

You may also want to bring a bottle of water, something warm to wear to and from class and flat shoes to wear to and from class.

Is there any nudity?

No. You will be taught the art of costume removal, but in class you will only ever strip down to your vest top and shorts or frilly knickers and this is optional in itself.  All costume removal can be mimed if you don't have the specific item or don't wish remove it.

All that said, how you choose to demonstrate your new Burlesque skills when you get home, is completely up to you!  ;o)

Is there an age limit?

You must be over eighteen to participate in Foxy Burlesque tuition and this is not due to the content of the tuition or the teaching, but more as a social obligation.

As for an upper limit, there's no such thing!
